 Most people wonder why it’s hard for most musicians to keep giving the itching ears the hit songs they yawn for. Most artistes came to lime light with just one hit song, and after that you won’t hear from them anymore. While some will come up with few hits and then retire. Some will be lucky enough to reign for a couple of years with a good number of hits, and boom they are off the stage. What could be the cause of this, could it be coming from the fans or the artistes themselves. You can’t talk about which song is hit without the fans, it has always been the fans. It’s only the fans that has the capacity to decide which song is hit or not, or which artiste is good or not. The roles of the fans in determining the hit song and the artistes to always listened to, is unquantifiable. We would be looking at why most musicians fades after making one or few hits. 1. SOME MUSICIAN BECAME TOO LAZY TO WORK HARDER WHEN THEY SEE THE LIGHT; Most artiste, didn’t understand the music industry even before they got into it. They failed to realize that music industry is a 24/7 hustle. From studio to show, when one is not in the studio he or she is in the show, no time to rest, because that’s how you become relevant in the industry. Music industry is like a fashion world, you have to look for the new trend and convert it into your own, and that’s how you thrill your fans and got them hooked up. Someone said that music industry is like someone riding a bicycle if you are not pushing through you will start to fall. 2. SOME STOP BECOMING CREATIVE; Being on top of the game is about being in tuned with creativity, your muse must be at the peak. The fans always yawn for new creative work of yours not the same old one they are used to. You will be ever ready to bomb them with new creative work, that’s the only way to win the heart of the fans. 3. SOME FAILED TO IDENTIFY WITH WHOM THEY ARE; Music is a spiritual game, a musician that wants to reach greater height according the will of the God for him must look within, not outside. Looking within makes him or her to know the kind of music he or she can render effortlessly. Looking within kills the distractions from the outside world. 4. NOT BEING ORIGINAL; Most musician immediately they see the light tends to copy others, instead of staying original, they forgot that the fans who started following them followed them because of originality and then they change their pattern because they wanted to be like another artiste, then they lose their fans. 5. NOT BEING ABLE TO REINVENT ONESELF; This is one of the hardest part of being a musician. There comes a time, when everything sounds the same, and it seems everyone is stuck in the same loop of sounds; both the fans and the artistes, at this point in time it’s only the dynamic ones will take the lead. The dynamic ones are the ones who are able to reinvent themselves. They are not afraid to change to what they have never been before. They are not afraid to create the new sounds they have never heard before, and they not afraid to spread the massage as raw as it came to them.
